serious bad luck that half. we battered them had our own goal disallowed and then gift them a free header.

enough if the sad sob stories lads come on big effort needed to get what we are deserving out of this match

    COYS

Great performance . Walker caught badly for the goal

The thing is that united will prob be much better in the second half , damaging our chances of getting anything from this game

all the good work earlier in the season is now being undone, I expected a defeat today, looking like it will be fourth, all momentum is gone

great performance totally undone by 2 total lapse in concentration n utd are out of sight.

great finish for the third but it was game over the moment they went two up.

We have come up short in most of the big games this season

    United x 2
    City x 2
    Arse

We played very well for large parts today but that's just not good enough . We have scored 3 goals against the top two and conceded 14

these last couple of results have been really hard to take.

something not right. football isnt fair but sure we all knew that

    and then defoe scores haha

Away to everton and Chelsea next

    We are showing weaknesses

What must Defoe do to get a run out ? He deserves to start a few

Is adebayour incapable of jumping ?

Even Luca and Lennon jump for a header even though they have no chance. Adebayour just stands there and let's the defender jump and head it away

Sorry lads, my fault for predicting a 3-1 loss..

    Negatives
Embarrasing run of results against united continues.
Walker poor defensively at times but cant moan too much considering the great season he has had.
Modric quiet, needs to be played centrally.
Shocking to think our great manager left it so late to make changes.

    Positives
2 poor defeats in a week, and yet we are still 4 ahead of the goons, and 7 ahead of Chelsea.
Still in the driving seat for 3rd despite a couple of tough games coming up.
We have bale, parker and vdv to come back in and freshen things up.

I was very disappointed that it took so long for Redknapp to bring Defoe on, he should have came on early in the 2nd half to replace Ade. He’s one of the few players we have that will take a shot from distance or score a goal out of nothing.

De Gea was never really tested, Utd were below par and the defensive lapses killed us off. Utd couldn’t string a pass together until the 3rd goal went in. Sandro and Livermore nullified the Utd midfield.

Redknapp did make the point strongly in his interview after the game that he wants 3rd, and not 4th .

Yeah, saw that on SSN this morning. His exact word where 'i'd be disappointed if we finished 4th"

Was glad to hear that. He also reckons the speculation linking him to the England job is not effecting the team. I'm not sure about that.

It’s going to have some effect, but to what degree only the players know? Didn't have an effect against Newcastle? The team have performed phenomenal throughout the whole season bar a few games, every team goes through a bad patch.

Hopefully that’s us done, people were writing Arsenal off a few weeks ago to their peril. We’ve been in 3rd for such a long spell now, for any player to give up 3rd spot to our arch rivals is unthinkable. The Everton game for me will be the turning point to our season.

All our good results are predicated on us scoring early or taking the lead, particulary at home.

If we hadn't scored early vs Newcastle it could have been different and if we had scored early yesterday it could have been a rout too imo.

Arry for England doesn't come into it. We need to adjust to teams when they don't come onto us at WHL.
