Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi gang

iv just received delivery of a model year 2010 1 series 118d with start/stop.

the start/stop engages as soon as it gets its first chance - e.g. 100m metres from my door at the first set of traffic lights i meet on teh way to work (bearing in mind the engine was started from cold!?)

    is this right?

i heard from others with cars equipped with start/stop that it does engage til the engine is at operating temperature.

although the 1 series dont have a water temperature gauge, i know for a fact that the engine is stone cold!

any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

    have a great weekend,
    Ed

The Start/Stop on my E90 only works when the engine is warmed up and the outside temperature is +7c. In saying that I have it switched off most of the time but it is useless imo.
