Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Avensis headlights working intermitingly...

Hi, I have 04 avensis. Replaced headlights two years ago due to well know bulb fuse problem, at a Toyota dealer. My headlights are now working intermitingly. Thought but bulbs had gone, and was driving short distance at night on fogs for few days with intention to get to motor factors at weekend (not good I know), but then one night lights were working again. Drove for few days no probs.... Then they weren't working again.. (both of them) now I find it's hit and miss whether they work or not.... All other lights and electrics appear to work.... Any ideas? Replacing bulbs seems like a waste as its either both or neither.... but I might try it anyway if I get no ideas.....
Anyone come across this? Any ideas?

Those headlamps were often replaced as the bulb holders would heat up and melt. Maybe the wiring is a bit brittle and the circuit is getting broken.

Is it both at the same time, or just one?
