Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ipod jack replacement

guy in the apple shop yesterday quoted me €89 for out of warranty replacement - the jack is faulty

this would be basically a new ipod (not brand new but replacement all the same)

the ipod is fine just the jack is faulty/loose causing sound to be not great, the guy in the shop was in not so many words trying to tell me its a fairly simple (and cheap) thing to do but that the apple ''policy'' bound him to take it in to be replaced

anyone taken theirs appart before or replaced parts themselves?

    If its a sandard ipod(classic)
It's easy enough to do, just try not damage the casing

    parts4ipods.com or syncron.ie
the safe pry tools are the best way without marking the ipod but don't be suprized if you go through 2 or 3 of them to get one ipod open they break easily
