Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jedward in later life

Just unfortunately watched the repeat of this weeks Saturday Night Show and the two gimps were on. (on a side note I don't think there's anyone more punchable than them) I was wondering, at what stage in their lives would they look back and cringe at their tv appearances, or will they ever "get it"? Will they go off the raills and be all coke & hookers or will we be seeing them as normal guys on a crappy RTE documentary in 20 years talking about the good times?

Whats in store for these two?

Well preferable they won't be around long enough to get the chance to look back on things!

it will be so fucking awkward when they're older.

even they will have to look back and cringe

they're two headbangers loving life, easy to hate when their living the dream. think of how much cooler their life is than yours before you hate.

This is the warped attitude that makes me hate the twits......it's like they have a certain fan base brainwashed into thinking that it's impossible to hate their lack of talent and annoying shouty, nonsensical Americanisms....

......no, according to the bible of Jedwardism it must be begrudgery.

    Sad really......

Re the OP - when the joke wears off they'll be dropped faster than Milli Vanilli, but given the way RTE are horrendously biased towards then, they'll probably earn enough presenting hyperactive rubbish for RTEjr.

Hate is a very strong word and I don't remember using it. You don't know my life and I have a very cool one thank you very much........ ****, tomorrow is bin day.

They were pretty popular in the UK for a few months so that should buy them about 15 years of regular RTE appearances.

In fairness, OP......you were watching Brendan O'Connor's horrendous excuse for a TV show so no, the "cool" concept doesn't apply (unless of course you lost a bet or were taking the National Lottery up on their "what cringe-inducing activity would you do for €1,000,000 ?")

They'll probably get married to each other - we all know they're gay and that they are engaged in an incestuous relationship with each other. They won't be accepted for who they are and they'll be ousted because of this. They'll then run off to, I don't know, some random place and die on an overdose of poppers and viagra after engaging in a long hard orgy with each other and a couple of friends.

They'll be like all one time popular but then irrelevant members of the show business community.

They'll each become addicted to prescription pain killers, impregnate a prostitute, have a nervous breakdown (which for them would be class :)), Louis will disown them until the comeback tour, and they'll end up going onto morning talk shows and talking about how crazy it all was and how now they have matured before gymnastically dancing to europop music while the presenters hardly contain their disdain for them.

Jedward always striked me as the type of kids who still have to be told to raise the toilet seat. Real life will be painful for them.

If I was Louis I'd have sold them to the Japanese or Disney by now and cashed in. But Louis like to be relevant. :)

    They're rich... Doubt they`ll care

I think they'll mature into a fine pair of intellectuals and easily settle into academia.

Eerily similar to Stephen Gately and his fella who died!

Compared to the self loving, obnoxious twats we see rise to fame on a daily basis for being either riddiculously stupid, controverial, or bordering on stripping for fame, these two lads aren't half bad. Beside the american accent that is annoying, there are incredibly attentive and gracious to their fans from what I've seen. Hyper certainly, but I'd throw them some credit that with supervision, they'd turn out ok.

And I should add they annoy the hell out of me and I cant sit watching without cringing, but I don't hate them or despise them. There kids for gods sake at the end of the day, who gave their best shot at fame. Let them off at it.

I fail to see the distinction. These are the guys who interrupt every interviewer and coined the deluded phrase "you don't hate us, you wanna BEEEE us" ?

    Self-loving : check
    Obnoxious : check
    Ridiculously stupid : check

What am I missing re a difference ?

and you dont think that they have been told to do this? They are way smarter than people give them credit for. Jumping around on a stage for ten mins and they're rolling in it.

and feck it, as I said, I have no love for them or interest in them. what response do you think they would give back to their "haters?" thanks lads, ya we're crap. Of course they are controversial, of course they appear hyped up, self interested on stage.....and in interviews to be perfectly honest, ya they interupted, but theres no nastiness or rudeness in those lads at all. Just saying. Compared to many others, these lads entertain and thousands of kids love them and get a laugh. Better than the eegits who have entered the big brother style programs like Talafornia for instance and have become popular because they walk around like a steroid factory or remove their tops. Like I said, no interest in Jedward, but running down two kids who to be honest arent nasty or malicious in anyway and have been pretty straight laced in fairness, is a tad bit sad.

They are strange people, 20 years old and have no interest in women, or it seems in sex for that matter as they claim to be virgins.

Well did I read you saying they were honest ?

I'd suggest ADHD or "retarded" to be honest, but I don't want to insult anyone with a genuine affliction.
ya they interupted, but theres no nastiness or rudeness in those lads at all.

Last time I looked, repeatedly interrupting IS rude, and definitely not a role model I'd want for my kids

Anyway, the thread is about what scrap heap they'll end up on when the joke gets (even more) tiresome

I was actually thinking the same thing you mentioned above there, but likewise I wouldnt be as quick to diagnose, it tends to offend, I agree. Interupting is rude granted. But I've never seen young lads there age act like that before either, I don't think its meant in any offensive or rude way, just my opinion.

what scrap heap?? hmmm, considering they will be loaded by the time they finish and at age 50 wont be able to do those splits and jumps. Probably a jet to the Canaries or somewhere. At least thats what Id be spending it on, if I were that rich!! haha. :D

I'd say they will have difficulty seeing over the huge piles of money they're making.

I dislike them but fair fooks to them for making money doing what they're doing, I absolutely hate the fact that they're representing Ireland though, makes a total show of us tbh :o

Don't starts celeb threads in After Hours thinking it's ok to bash celebs here, it isn't.
For general non-bashing celeb threads there is the Celeb forum, it's on third.
