So a friend is offering me an ATi 5970 as hes not using it.
I think i recall it having some issues a while back.
Anything i should know about before i install it?

I have a 6950 currently and the 5970 is well ahead in benchmarks ive seen so it would be nice if it was stable for and issue free.

The 5970 card is grand but does pull a lot of power so the issues may have been around stablity regarding poor PSUs.

    Can I have your 6950? :p

600W Corsair should be more than fine.

Installed and stutter stutter stutter , exact same issues my friend had.
Uninstalled and back to normality on my 6950.
