What kind of retards actually think that you'd only need €1000 deposit for a mortgage?

The kind that think in Ireland in 2012 you'd be retarded to pay €1000 for a deposit!

As OP has stated it's a rental deposit, not mortgage.

Maybe you should try reading my post. I KNOW it's a rental deposit, I was asking how others can't understand.

the max for provident is €500 i need a €1000
Make accounts at several banks. Get a loan from the first bank. Split it between deposits at each bank... Get loans from all banks to a total of 1000.

Let me know if it works.

In my experience the CWO only covers a deposit where rent supplement has been approved.
It's worth a (long) shot though even if you are not applying for rent supplement.
Or.. since a lot of landlords are really desperate to fill occupied houses with tenants to cover their mortgages, why not haggle and ask to pay a deposit you can afford.. it seems to be a tenant's paradise at the minute with falling rents and supply outweighing demand.

    Good luck :)
