I am considering doing a bit of tydind around my dogs ears and underarms in between grooming sessions but was wondering what kind of clipper would be suitable.

I am looking at the argos catalogue and they have a WAHL clipper for dummies (comes with the book) for €45

In the men's section, clippers cost anything from €8 to €100 up

Could I use a clipper for mens on a dog or is there a significant difference between pet clippers and humans clippers ? I would be willing to spend around €50

    Thanks

You'd be better using someting likethese as they are specifically made for purpose.

Get them from somewhere like Christies so you can be sure of being able to get the blades sharpened and/or replacements.

    I have this one http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/8702520/Trail/searchtext%3EPET+CLIPPER.htm

I like it. It flys through my cairn terrier x's thick coat. I don't bother with the guide combs. Only use it maybe 4-5 times a year for 1 dog so not getting a whole lot of use but holding up well so far. The big + about it for me was that it is cordless so I can clip him outside if I want, it does work better plugged in but on a full charge it lasts long enough to clip him and still flys through his coat.
