A pay as you go Bin service would be useful to some people. Something like this : http://www.bigbin.ie/index.html Is anything like this available in the Dublin area ?

Oxigen offer an almost pay as you go option, as in I went with them after DCC decided to give me to Greyhound and it was an initial payment of 42 for three lifts of both black and green bin together. and then just top up when you need to after that.

I'm currently investigating the merits of Allen Waste who do a bag collection service at €3 for black bin waste and no charge for recyclable waste provided it's in a clear plastic bag.

Going to try buying the bag tags this week and putting out a bag next week so should have a better idea then.

Thornton's are good, pay as you go, €7.50 for black bin, green bin is free
