Hey everyone, it's that time of year again where, instead of making my own decisions, I get other people to tell me what games to run at Q-Con!

I've put a little survey online, or you can tell me in this thread what you're most keen to see. Obviously this covers more than just fighting games, but I know you guys would be interested.

Also, for the players who have to travel, how many of you plan on coming for more than just the Saturday? If you intend to be there for more than one day, what games do you play? With AE2012, UMvC3, SFxT and BB - there's too many major fighting games to realistically fit in one day but obviously I want to get as many people playing their favourite games as possible. The big titles may need to be split over Saturday/Sunday, maybe even bleeding into Friday depending on timetabling issues.

    Done. Slated shooters :P

Would like to head up again this year as it's always very well run and a good day. Probably would be just the Saturday for me, although I wouldn't be opposed to the full weekend if people are willing, and playing AE and Gems.

Thanks everyone so far, keep 'em coming!

Right now I'm seeing a trend of "Screw you, COD!!" but that might change as more non-fg players get onto the survey.

edit: Also if you can pass this on to your other game friends that would be fantastic! I'm a tad busy in work at the moment so can't check up on the rules in other forums for this kind of canvassing, but if it's okay in those places feel free to repost it. :)

I've asked the mods for the Call of Duty forum if it's okay to put a thread in there. I can do it for you if you're too busy.

Hopefully they'll say yes, I always wanted to see more games get a decent competitive scene.

EDIT : They said we can post in the forum. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=501
I'll throw smething up later unless you want to Vyze.

Sorry, just saw the post. If you can post it there that'd be awesome, thanks! Crazy busy with work to be able to type a new post up, but it'd be cool to get opinions from non-FG people and/or people who aren't already on the Slayers/Q-Con Facebook pages! :)

Bumping because this year's Q-Con site just went live: http://www.q-con.org.uk/

As usual, it takes place on the last full weekend of June (22nd to 24th).

As Q-Con is one of the bigger gaming events in Ireland, maybe y'all could consider looking into a Skullgirls tournament. Reverge and Autumn Games are big on supporting tournaments for that at the moment and have been actively looking for UK events to sponsor: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/skullgirls-gd-get-your-tuna-with-bacon-on-psn-4-10-xbla-4-11.153944/page-168#post-6691331

Way ahead of ya on running a tournament, but I haven't had a chance to contact them for sponsorship (but had planned to).

Cheers for the heads-up, though! May get on to them sooner than planned. :)
