Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tri-suit, or Tri shorts and top

Is it a personal preference thing?

Does it make more sense to wear the tri-suit for the shorter distance tris?

I understand the need for the shorts and top combo for the longer distances, when they make er, "calls of nature" easier to answer, but is there another practical reason for choosing one option over the other?

I'd be leaning towards a tri-suit myself, but that could be for aesthetic reasons rather than logical reasons :)

Never over estimate the aesthetic reasons for choosing a one piece. You'll understand when you see some of the belpark guys in their belly tops.

This is a simple logic tree to help you choose:

    ........Have you a 'muffin top'?
    ................. /\
    ................ /..\
    ............... /....\
    ........___ /......\ ___
    ......| Yes |........| No |
    .......
    ..........
    .......... /.............\
    ......... /...............\
    ........ /.................\
    . __ / __ ............. \ _______
    .|1 Piece |..............| 2 Piece |
    ..
    .................

This was one of my first races. No man should ever be seen in public looking like the winner here did.

I own multiple two pieces and one pieces.

Two pieces fall into three categories:

    (1) Euro porn style
    (2) Traditional ones
    (3) Won't know its a two piece

I use (3) now for long distance (for toilet breaks). I refuse to use any of my (2)s as I'm chubby. (1)s are only good for ultra hot races when you are absolutely ripped.

If you can jiggle it, hide it.
Never over estimate the aesthetic reasons for choosing a one piece. You'll understand when you see some of the belpark guys in their belly tops.

I once race in speedos and a two piece top when in Belpark.
Thankfully these days my club mates would stop me.
