Rory is really on the crest of a wave now. Sensational golf.

The Eagle he had was just breathtaking. I really don't think there's another player in the game who can play a hole like that. 3-wood from the clouds and lands soft as a butterly... unreal.

Thought for a while Rory was going to make the blue monster look like a smurf

Kinda anti climax finish but still a great round! The first 11 holes was top class stuff!! Bubba is playing really well though and is gonna take serious catching

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Raisins

If Bubba wins this I'll need a stiff drink Sunday night or I won't sleep.

McDowell has a great 5 under round and has to spend most of his interview answering questions on what its like to play with Rory!

Bubba has only had 3 PGA tour wins and he's 33!!

    That's hard to believe.

I can believe it, he hits it a mile but very inconsistent, playin well now, lets hope he can keep going as its not nice to say a player choke on the last round

nothing new there to be honest. although at the same time i thought they wouldn't bother asking such lame ass question considering the two of them are friends and have played many times in the past. but oh well:rolleyes:

also couldn't help being admire rory's swing. drool worthy. :p

as for bubba watson. brilliant off the tee with that driver, but after that, shocking.

Hope Bradley wins. Have him at 40/1 odds and unlike others posted it pre-event :) Also have TW @ 7/1 as well. Really is a fantastic leaderboard with a lot of layers to it. Tiger fighting back. Battle for No.1 between Donald and Rory. Major winners lurking. Simpson and Bradley in the mix as well as Bubba and his crazy nature.

As eluded to , he's so utterly inconsistent at the best of times because he is unwilling to play any % golf. Reminds me Mickelson pre his first Major win back in 2004. Heck, even John Daly hit quite a few 3 woods and irons back in his day off the tee for example. Nonetheless, he's some character on and off the golf course and makes for awesome viewing more often than not.

Have Bradley at 40-1 aswell. Also have Scott at 33-1 but I think that could be gone now at this stage.

Looks like it could be a good final day though. Lots of big names playing well and not too far off the lead. Bodes well for The Masters!

Bradley at 40/1 is the job, i think he could do it

Nice 12 by Garcia on the par 4 3rd hole

Man that's shocking...the shot tracker for the hole makes my eyes hurt there's so many yellow lines on it :( And to think he was -5 after 9 on Thursday.

Really looking forward to the golf tonight, with Bubba leading there's bound to be drama

Haha - Just a routine eagle, par, 12 start! Can't wait to see the highlights of that.

Didn't see it but how can a professional player like Garcia score a 12.
Sounds a lot like a fella who just threw in the towel as soon as its not going his way.
Really cant stand that because he has a responsibility he needs to uphold as a professional.

Joke of a score that is...

4 balls in the water apparently...Tin Cup style :D

Looking at the shot tracker- it looks like a real life Tin Cup situation! haha

He should be sanctioned for that...
You wouldn't see a 20 handicapper rack up that kind of score.

What about the people who follow him and who might have had a few quid on him. tut tut...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 948 ✭✭✭SSK

Anyone following Clarke on shot tracker? He's nailed pretty much every approach but only holed a couple of putts, still -2 after his front 9. Would be nice to see him have a couple of decent weeks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,335 ✭✭✭sunbabe08

ohhh garcia having one of his temper tantrums :) seriously hasn't been the same player since harrington whooped him at the british open

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,733 ✭✭✭SnowDrifts

They obviously didnt get the Garcia 12 on camera. Im sure he is happy about that at least!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,754 ✭✭✭MyPeopleDrankTheSoup

a reminder to anyone that clocks went forward last night in the states so they're 4 hours behind us in Florida, not 5 like usual. So Rory's teeing off at 6.10PM Irish time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,057 ✭✭✭irish bloke

Nice to see Dazzer playing some better stuff. Hes looked a bit out of place on the tour since winning the Open.

Hopefully he will maintain his improvement and become competitive again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,733 ✭✭✭SnowDrifts

Casey's caddy thinking he had won a car for the hole in one and then to find out that it was for another par 3 - reaction was priceless!! hahaha

What did keegan Bradley just tap down with his putter on the 3rd green ??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,677 ✭✭✭staker

Which putt? 1 2 or 3? Just rewound it there nothing I can see bar a few pats behind the ball from off the green..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,015 ✭✭✭link_2007

His 3rd putt, he tapped something down (I think)

Watson is playing some shocking stuff here.

Exploding, how he found water off his last tee shot is beyond me, so far off his driving line:eek:

Surely his caddy has to have a word. They still seemed to be laughing and joking on the last. Maybe leave the driver in the bag for a few holes.

That said.. hope Bradley takes this now!

No surprise with that wide open stance of his, i know hes a fader of the ball but wen it goes wrong it goes horribly slicey and reminds me of a high hcap golfer

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,677 ✭✭✭staker

    @ Russman
Just saw it there, you're right! Missed it first time around.Patted down with his putter on the line.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a 2 stroke penalty under 16.1 c?

No course managment for bubba at all, milling the driver on a short 390 yd par 4, think he would smack down a 4 iron and leave a wedge in

You can repair ball marks though - but if he was repairing a spike mark or any other damage- then it is a penalty.

Surely if it was a pitch mark he'd have used a tee or repairer.

Rory slowly reeling them in.....just 4 behind.

Even if he doesn't win, it's been another very good tournament.

Wonder if he'll be back in time for the Masters.

    nr for eldrick.

no .1 back and should be suspended for a few weeks

S.hite, Tiger pulled out... Had him for a top 10 finish.

Should be covered though by Donald and McIlroy for a top 10 finish
