Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

From here Mr O’Cearbhail goes by the user name palladium
Donncha O’Cearbhail, (19) a county councillor's son who uses the online name palladium, was detained in Dublin yesterday after being named on a charge sheet from a New York court.

He only has one post and is not likely to add to that as I dont think mammy or daddy will be letting him near a pc any time soon

Not sure if this is a sign of how great Irish universities are or how shít the FBI is.

How about instead of extraditing him, the US gives the guy a working visa?

Another stupid kid has his life destroyed and for what. I suppose if they do cause damage to system and cost a business or a government millions, they really can't get away with that.

But the sentences seem very long and I seen the docos about American prisons,,shudder,,

Jesus folks, he has to be extradited first. I doubt he will be to be honest.
Id say he has quite the career ahead of him in IT security.

If the guy actually was a top hacker, there wouldn't be a thread on Boards.ie about him right now.

We don't deport our own citizens.
We do happily however extradite them to other juristicions such the USA, which one would guess is a possible ,if not likely outcome in this case.

He might be, the Americans can put a lot of pressure on our government and if not the legal case will still cost millions.

Besides people are getting pissed of with hackers, they are no longer seen as the cool heros fighting the power, but stupid spotty kids vandalizing systems, putting viruses out there, and pulling themselves silly to internet porn everytime their ma goes shopping.

BS. Look at Sean Garland. He wasnt extradited and what he allegedly did to the "US Economy" was alot worse than what this fella above did.
