Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone got a refund from Paypal?

I have just realised that something I bought from Ebay was actually from a know scammer. I paid through Paypal, I'm sure the details registered with Paypal were fake - but there must be some way of tracking the bank transactions.
The dispute center won't let me make a complaint - the time may have lapsed.

You have 45 days from the date of the transaction to open a dispute. If that time's passed, then AFAIK you cannot then ask for a refund or a dispute resolution.

Both my husband and I have have refunds from Paypal in the past. Most of the time, it's gone smoothly. Only once have I had problems and that was with Dabs.

Hope you can get it sorted.

There can be an exception to the 45 day rule made but only if you contact them direct - usually they are very helpful on the phone, especially if the person in question has scammed before - it may be that they have other disputes on their account from other people, and paypal would use their discretion.

I was suspicious of the long time it took for postage but I put this down to slow postage over Christmas. Also the tracking number he gave me was following something that seemed to be real. It went though Australia and in the end was returned to sender, according to Japanese post (where it came from).
The fact that something was posted makes it a bit odd, why bother sending something if they already have my money?
