A very sad story...

    How sad. :(

There's very little that can be said to a story like that.

Cecil Tomkins, 63, of New Lodge Nursing Home, Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham in Dublin has pleaded not guilty to murder
The accused also told him it had happened at around 6.30 saying: “I shot him once in the hallway”.

It's hard to see how he won't be convicted there.

Worst written pieces, yesterday's news and sad.

Then I'm not even going to read it.

It's pretty badly written I'll agree. It's nearly like it was written in another language and put through google translate.

"The court heard the accused suffers from Parkinson’s disease and that he and his brother never married". Kinda sounds like someone got narky because someone wouldn't pop the question.

“There was a row. My mother wanted to be buried in Kilcormac or Gorey but she was buried Aghowle. I shot Walter because he buried her in Aghowle,”

The brother was obviously a prick.

How is it sad, he shot his brother, **** him in prison for the rest of his life.

“I shot him once in the hallway”.

Is that anywhere near the heart?

    And my personal favourite:

"Gda Murray said he wrote down what the accused had told him before escorting him outside and said he sat in the back of a patrol car"

This guy should write crime novels. He weaves such a tapestry of words that it nearly feels like you're there.

Which may explain why I don't write for a living. What's your excuse for inserting a smiley face in your contribution?

Is it a sad story because a man was killed or a journalist can't write properly?

    I blame the parents

"The court heard the accused suffers from Parkinson’s disease and that he and his brother never married."

Hard not to LOL at this sentence.
Did they not get married b/c of the Parkinson's?
Or because brothers are not permitted to marry?

It's easy to forget when there are brand new deaths/murders every day in the news.

If she was cremated this probably wouldn't have happened.

A distant enough relation of mine died recently and there was a dispute amongst his more immediate family over where the body would be buried. Nobody shot as a result thankfully, but I was amazed by how fcuking petty and dumb the whole thing was. Imagine falling out with living family members over where the remains of the dead are kept. It's idiotic.
