What to wear with this?

Hi Im really in need of some help. I have a wedding in three weeks and Im so nervous because i haven't been to anything so formal since i piled on a lot of weight during and after pregnancy. Im a size 20 now so don't have much choice I've half decided on this dress, will have to wear with black tights. Do you think its ok? What accessories should i add?
All info very much appreciated. I used to love clothes so much but my confidence has vanished in my size!

That's a gorgeous dress, very flattering imo.. I love the top part..

I would go bare legged or just nude tights, I think black tights would make it look more of a tea dress but the bare legs make it a lot more dressy looking..

The style of shoes the model is wearing go perfect with it, something tall and strappy around the ankles, maybe lose the open toe but that's just me..

And a nice high up-doo in your hair to elongate you all the more.. I don't think you'd need a lot of jewelry with it tbh.. maybe some nice chunky beads or something?

Hiya thanks a million for the reply, I've actually canceled that order i just think i may be too short for it and ordered it very spur of the moment. Instead I've ordered this instead as id feel a lot more comfortable and will dress it up with some silver jewelry and nice heels, what do you think?

thats a much nice dress and you will get way more wear out of it. love the shoes the model is wearing with it.

yeah i much rather the second dress, the first was ordered in a panic but I've canceled it know.
Do you think that black tights would be ok? Im really not comfortable with my legs!

yeah but if it was a warm day it might look a bit wintery. what about a high dernier skin colour tights.

what jewellery are you going to wear. I love pearls with black lace.

Id love to get away with skin coloured things! I'll buy both and see how it looks. I think black would really take away from the dress and look very drab but if it's a choice of that or all my bad bits showing i know which id rather! Fingers crossed!
I love pearls too, id like a nice small simple necklace, pearl drop earrings and maybe a little thin pearl bracelet.

My poor wardrobe full of beautiful small clothes
next wedding i hope hope i won't have this problem!x

My mum is really uncomfortable with her legs too, so what she does sometimes is piles on the light Sally Hanson and then uses nude tights over it. It really makes a difference!:)

Oh i love sally hansen that's a brilliant idea! I'll hope for the best but i dunno if my sins can be hidden so easily!

I love the second dress, I have a pretty similar dress and usually wear it with nude heels pretty similar to these ones from Aldo as I'm short and it makes me look like I have longer legs if I don't wear tights.

If you're going to wear black tights, would these be a better option for you and not the darker ones to make it less wintery,I think Pennys have similar for way cheaper?

Instead of black tights which I agree could look too wintery if the day turns out nice, I love wearing a coloured pair of tights & shoes the same colour . . . same flattering effect as nude shoes with bare legs plus you get coverage for your legs & can go a bit funky with pink or purple . . .
