To be fair, Kenny typically makes changes before the last 3 minutes. :p

We are still on target for 0-1 as projected.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭Finical

He`ll make the changes in the 88th and 91st minute.

You judging that on the Arsenal game?

Different story altogether. Liverpool were actually playing well that day.

    Coates looking decidedly shaky.

    Better corners from Adamso.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Adam with three decent set pieces in a row, wtf?

    we really that bad?

    sopcasts??

    Ingredients

    3 eggs
    Butter or oil
    A little cream (optional)

    Variations:
    tomatoes
    cheese
    onions
    fresh herbs
    dried herbs

    You may also like
    Wanton Omlette
    Piperade
    Montana Omelette
    Open Faced Omelette
    Breakfast Omelette
    Bacon and Spinach Frittata
    Potato pancakes
    Zukini Pancake

    Directions

    1. Heat a little oil or butter, or a mixture of both in a non-stick pan. If you have too much, wipe the pan with a bit of paper towel.
    2. Whisk 3 eggs with salt and pepper and a little cream if you have it (it makes it lighter).
    3. Get a serving plate ready by the cooker.
    4. When the oil or butter is hot, pour the egg mixture in and leave for about 5 seconds for the bottom to set a little, then start stirring with a non-stick spatula or a wooden spoon. The trick is to keep the eggy fluid moving so that it bubbles up and becomes lighter. You want the omelette to start to look like hilly terrain, and not be flat.
    5. Keep cutting the bottom of the omelette with the spatula or spoon to let the egg through to the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat when you have what looks like an omelette and when it is still wet on top (don't let it dry out - it will continue cooking for a while yet).
    6. If you are making a filled omelette, add the topping to the omelette now. Don't add too much, or you will not be able to fold it.
    7. Now to get it on the plate! Using the spatula, free up the edges of the omelette, then slide the spatula underneath and bit by bit nudge it out of the pan onto the plate. When it is half on the plate and half in the pan, using the pan and the spatula fold over the half that is in the pan, over the half that is on the plate. You do this by lightly jerking the pan forward so that the omelette literally folds over the half that is on the plate. That's it, it's easy. It should be nice and brown on top (if it is not, you didn't have the oil/butter hot enough.)

    Adam's delivery has been useless.

Young foreign defenders would generally need more time to settle than most, I imagine.
Of course.I'm not saying he will never be a decent player.
Currently I think opposing managers would be happy to see him in there, seems quite error prone.

    Adam's delivery has been useless.

Ahh now. He's been playing poor, but his set pieces have been dangerous. It's probably the wind helping though.

Nice run from Suarez. Defenders knew better than to attempt a tackle.

Hopeless puke football from Liverpool. If this is all a Dalglish team can offer, then serious questions have to be asked about him at the end of the season. Despite all that money spent in the summer they don't seem to be any better than they were a year ago.

He's given the ball away a few times under no pressure whatsoever.

He was excellent against Chelsea in the League Cup QF.

Young foreign defenders would generally need more time to settle than most, I imagine.

In fairness, he needs gametime. Expecting him to slot in seamlessly and be error free is a big ask given the fact he hasn't even been given a run out with the reserves regularly. Which is madness in itself.

He has been basically training for the last 6-7 months, with this being only his 4th appearance I believe. Its madness really, he should be plying his trade in the reserves week in week out.

Have only caught the match, both teams looking poor. Looks like the same stuff old from Liverpool.

Been listening to the first half on Today FM, they said it was scrappy and the conditions were not helping at all but didn't suggest LFC were vomit. Just a difficult game. I'll watch the 2nd half.

    any positives?

    Awful game.

Very disappointing performance from Liverpool. Not keeping the ball. Midfield poor, front 3 quiet also.

Maybe we'll play shít and win after playing well and losing last week

    Piss poor game.

    Too many passengers for LFC.

Kelly has been shaky, getting the run around form McLean early on.

Enrique has been poor, taking too much out of the ball.

Coates has been shaky, still a better option than Carragher.

    Henderson has been non existent.

Adam has been very very average from play, few nice corners though.

Kuyt as an attacking threat has been non existent.

Bellamy has offered very little going forward.

Suarez has been our only genuine attacking threat. Feel sorry for him, only bright spark. Skrtel has also been good.

Would nearly settle for a draw.

Well we've kept a clean sheet so can't be too critical on him, but for me he's looked a little bit sluggish. Needs to get sharper or he could be punished

    The beach ball isn't playing.

    It's windy but not raining.

    Skrtel is playing well.

    Suarez is doing well.

    Spearing has been good also.

Mid-table perhaps. Such ordinary players. Am i the only one who thinks the way Henderson has been playing for the past 18 months is the way he'll be for the rest of his career?. Oh well, could be worse, Downing could be on too.

And the scary thing is that today is not even the worst I have seen Henderson play since he joined Liverpool. He offers nothing and pretty much hides game after game. How he manages to get so many games is beyond me.

As per usual with our games this season, today's game is just highlighting how badly we need quality in CM, out wide and a decent finisher.

Villa, Sunderland, and Newcastle mugged us last summer with the three big money players they sold to us, with any luck we can avoid buying such ordinary players for silly money this summer.

Can't argue with a single thing you've said

EDIT: Except nearly settling for a draw maybe! Sick of draws and while CL hopes are all but gone, the very faint hope needs to be kept alive by taking 3 points

Getting a great laugh out of the usually names nit picking Coates performance.

He has been solid , great awareness and always positive with the ball .

The rest comes with game time , game time especially specific to the Premiership which is a million miles from what he would be used to after his whole 200mins in the starting team .

He is gonna be a massive part of our future alongside Skittles .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Fairly pleased with that so far.

We've defended well and look dangerous on the counter. McClean has the beating of Kelly every time and Bendtner is holding the ball up superbly.

We've been fairly poor in the middle though, as have Liverpool. We could do with getting Vaughan on for Gardner IMO as he struggles in games where we need to show a bit of initiative and Vaughan will give us a bit more creativity.

Still a worry that Liverpool will bring on Gerrard soon as he'll control the game in the middle of the park.

Not bad at all from us though, especially when we're missing our two most important players.

Looks like a game with 0-0 written all over it if that half is anything to go by mind, but with the quality of players Liverpool have up top I unfortunately still think they will nick it.

    Dalglish out.

I know he's a legend and he comes across as a good bloke, but let's face it, he's blown a load of money on utter junk, and is tactically inept.

I think had Rafa been given the spending opportunity Kenny got from FSG, we'd have far better players. I don't know what his obsession with English/UK players is, but it's a doomed strategy.

I'd have Rafa back in a second if he wanted it.

Woo. that was the worse half of football i seen, since i watched Elephants play when i was in africa a few years ago.
God i how it get better in the 2nd half.

    Same old same old Liverpool...

not pressing enough in midfield, Suarez is chasing and harrying but no one in midfield will press with him.. Midfield do not gamble on going forward enough....they are soo afraid of the other team

Let Spearing sit and hold in midfield, get that muck Adam off and bring downing on, put Henderson in the centre and push him up a bit...

Coates looking a bit uneasy but that is to be expected... Enrique playing poor again... on a number of occasions he's gotten the ball and slowed the game down.. he should be bombing up the wing and passing it off to Bellars....

We need to get men into the box..... Suarez playing well but no-one helping out!

Really lacking a direct threat on the wings. Someone to just pick up the ball and run directly towards goal. Like McClean does for Sunderland.

Downing really should be that man. Strange how it hasn't worked out that way thus far really.

You must not have watched too many Liverpool games over the past three or more seasons if you think he controls games from the middle of the park. Sky say it a lot as part of their hype rubbish, but it sure as hell does not happen much irl.
