Windows 7 upgrade Question. Need help fast

I have a trial version of windows 7 64bit and im on my last few days.
now what i need to know is if i can just buy the upgrade version of win7 instead of getting the other one.
This computer im using has only ever had win7 trial version on it so would the upgrade version work ?

The upgrade version works anyway.
Buy it of software4students, its only 45euro.

No that is if you have the Starter version of windows 7 and want to upgrade to Premium.

Also will i need to do a clean install or can i just activate it with the key they give me ?
