Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

County Council bond on estate missing....

    A huge ask here.....

We live in an estate which is yet to be taken in charge. The coco has started the process but there is no bond on the estate. The coco took a promisary note from the builder like an insurance note which had become more common spread during the rotten boom. However, the builder never kept up payments and the insurance has long since expired. The builder has also gone into receivership.

The coco has stated that they will use the bond of the estate beside us which is in cash (and built by the same builder) and split it between the two. The two estates were built at diferent times and are covered by different planning numbers. They are by all accounts seperate entities.

Can the coco do this? Obviously they (the coco) are fearful that they will have to foot the bill of the estate with no bond. However the money from the first bond is woefully short to undertake all of the work required and the result will be a substandard job done overall with many problems ignored or not dealt with.

If I lived on the first estate I'd be livid that money for my estate was going elsewhere and it wouldn't be finished properly.

    ANy advice anyone can offer?
