Most Irish people get drunk one-two nights per week. This has a much more harmful impact on their health and on society as a whole. €3.6 Billion per annum in fact.

    I don't drink alcohol.

So I guess my drug use impacts alot less on society that the majority of the population.
I dont drink alcohol either, its sad that Irish people view weekly drinking as a normal way of life.
But you cannot know how your drug dealing is impacting on the lives of others menatal health. You cannot know and very often these problems do not surface till later in life. I know your not an evil genius!:P, but just try and see what im saying. by supplying drugs you really do not know who you could potentially be taking down. By all means get yourself stoned off your head, but dont sell it. if you have a conscience you must realise you could be harming 1-2 people over the years, thats all im saying.

If nobody drank alcohol we would save ourselves 3.6 Billlion euro per annum in Ireland as this is the financial and economic impact of it on Irish society. There would be no alcoholics, less cancer, no drink drivers, less domestic violence, less suicide, less murder. Alcohol is way more harmful than weed.

Also you can't equate weed with gangland killings. Heroin and crack you can.
In the last 5-6 years there has been a major shift from hash (which was imported) to grass which can be home grown.
I grow my own weed hydroponically. I have 3 plants in a hotpress in my apartment producing high grade smoke. I take alot of pride in my plants and the quality they produce. What role do I play in gangland killings?

You may be not so much narrow minded but instead naive in relation to the whole situation.
You are 100% entitled to react how you wish to your friend smoking the odd spliff but should you lose her because of it, it will only be you who loses out. Not her.

I have been very good to her so not sure your in a position to say I would be the only one losing out. Ours is a mutually beneficial platonic friendship. For the record if you look at my previous post you will see that I have decided to accept that she has an aspect to her lifestyle that I don't agree with but I hold her in too high regard to disconnect. We are very close friends and will remain so bar the unexpected.

Well you came on to get other people's perspectives on the situation. After 7-8 pages you have realised it is morally acceptable to smoke the odd joint.

    Good job! :)

For someone to take such a moral high ground on an issue that nearly everyone has done at some point in their lives is ridiculous in the extreme.

OP - I'm sure you're a nice guy and have good values and all that which is commendable - but this is way ott. I've never heard the likes of it before.

I'm closing this thread now because it has gone so off topic.
You can thank Maggie the Kat and bedrock for most of that.

    OP
I think you have gotten all the advice you are going to from this thread.
