Plan to jazz up lawn area

Hi Guys, Right,I have a lawn to the side of the house about 40m x 30m and want to spruce it up a bit.Some nice trees,(wife loves cherry blossom) maybe a water feature things like that.The boundry is just timber post and rail fencing so maybe a bit of hedging. Need some ideas please!!!
