I've been thinking of doing something like this for a while now. Well today I got stuck into it and finished it off tonight. Took about 6 hours in total.

Made up a completely new auto bolt hold open using the older one as a template and put a .38spl case on as the handle.
Use 6mm ali. tubing for the mag extention with a .308 case on the end.

To much time on my hands ;)

Seems to work well just have to try it out at the weekend.

Clive is that a new trigger kit you have in.
I have a 10/22 myself and was thinking of getting the trigger kit.
Nice job on the mag release I need one of them myself.

Not a trigger kit but a Kidd 2 stage trigger, retail ;300. But I did make up the new auto bolt hold open with the longer finger grip, used the original one as a template.

Just had to do this tweaking, but I'll be ordering a new replacement mag release from Kidd this week.
