Hello to all down under! Well I've been here since November and loving it so far, but I do have a family wedding to go back to in June, and I decided sure I might as well incorporate a trip the Euros before I have to be back in Dublin. I've been fortunate enough to save up enough cash to do this, but as any backpacker would, I'm trying to look for the cheapest possible way of getting home. My dates are very limited btw. I get back from a road trip on June 3rd, and I have a flight booked out to Poland on June 6. I've been keeping a close eye on Skyscanner over the last month or so, and have messed around a bit to see what I can do. Essentially, if I enter into the flight search engine depart:Perth and Arrive: Dublin, I am offered a final total of around 1500 dollars. Alternatively, if I break it down to Perth-Singapore and then Singapore-Dublin as 2 separate bookings, the total is more in the region of 900 dollars.

I think I've explained it well enough, but for those who want to have a gander themselves, here's the link - http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/per/dub/120604/airfares-from-perth-to-dublin-in-june-2012.html - Does anybody see a flaw in this plan re necessary visas or some other red tape I'm not aware of.

    Thanks in advance!

So what you are saying is you have found return flights from Melbourne to Dublin for 900 AUD?

No, these flights are just one way, haven't decided whether I'll be making it back out here again, just looking at different options for now..
