Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cleaning/washing brushes

    Hi guys,

I've a few brushes that need to be washed, some M.A.C and some Bobbi Brown and some cheaper brushes.

When I was buying my M.A.C brushes the lady who served me told me to use regular shampoo and some conditioner to keep the bristles soft.

I use the VO5 'gloss me smoothly' and 'nourish me truly' shampoo's and conditioner's, so I figured these wouldn't be good for the brushes, so I went and bought some of the Boots baby shampoo, as I read before that it's more gentle on the brushes than regular shampoo, my question is: should I still use conditioner?

    Any and all help appreciated,

    Thanks.

When I clean my brushes I like to use a mix of baby shampoo and olive oil (just a few drops of this). I've never heard anyone use conditioner on their brushes. I'd look it up on YT for some videos, there are a million and they all pretty much say the same thing - warm water and baby shampoo.

I use conditioner on my larger natural fibre brushes.I think it makes them much nicer,my powder brush can get a bit dry, but if I leave conditioner in for 5 mins and shampoo again its lovely soft and fluffy
