hi, i hope someone can help me calculate the rental half of my payment.
i bought a house with donegal coco 5 yrs ago. My house is now worth about half what it was then.
Is my rent based on current market value on my house or is it based on the price i payed for the house ?

Price you paid, if there's any sense left in this crazy world. You're not renting it, you are half buying it, right? And why would the price you bought it at change just because the market moves around? You'd be going mental if the rent doubled because the price went up.
