Hi all, think this might be of interest to some of you...

A group of DIT students are currently working on an experiment for inclusion on the REXUS 11 rocket, hopefully launching next week.
The launch is due to take place from the Esrange Space Center in North Sweden (if the pesky wind dies down!)

More info is available here: http://spaceresearch.dit.ie/telescobe/

You can also look at photos etc. here: http://www.facebook.com/teamtelescobe

And the Twitter is @teamtelescobe .

The guys are the first Irish team to take part, and if you have some engineering skills and an interest in space, this is worth a look. It's funded by a number of agencies, including ESA, and culminates in a two-week-long campaign at the Esrange Space Center.

Just saw the Northern Lights on a coffee break, pretty great.

Hope it's of interest to some of you.
