    Hi all,
any recommendations on where to get a lunch on Camden street or immediate area? not looking for anything too fancy, rather something with 'reasonable' prices... thanks

Buy a sandwich from Tesco and eat it in the park off harcourt st. Bargain.

Green 19 is very good and the prices are reasonable.

Is Gerry's (round the corner from Eddie Rockets) Still open?

any comments on likes of Listons, Fresh, etc....?

Liston's is good but high end/expensive. Get a takeaway dinner from Gerry's for a fiver or €6 for a full carvery in Dicey's. Or you can get a sandwich, crisps and drink from Fresh for €5.

Well, they're all deli type places, where you'd have to bring your lunch away with you.

Green 19 is good and there's a new Thai/Streetfood venue called Neon 17 which is getting a good rep.

Credo Pizza around the corner on Montague St is nice. Cafe Bliss on Montague St is also decent enough.

If you like burritos, Burritos & Blues on the corner is AWESOME

There's O'Brien's, Insomnia and a place I'd highly recommend, the Pig and Heifer just at the top of Camden St., pretty much across the road from the Bleeding Horse.

Horrid food in there. Would not recommend. Everything is overcooked, overfried, or about to go off.

Side note, is Hell closed? I never noticed till a friend mentioned lately. Good pizza in there, bit overpriced though.

AFAIK it hasn't opened since it got badly flooded.

Hell gone, I always found it reasonable and pretty damn nice.

New place there, cheapo looking joint, Pizza Dog or some such muck.

The cajun sweet potato wedges with blue cheese dip were absolutely savage. I'll head up around there later for a look.

Actually Against the Grain have great food, can be slow service though so not ideal for the lunch hour. Excellent beer selection. Good deal on getting 3 halves for a fiver or something.

I dont really like diceys or bleeding horse - food not great in either in my opinion

Gerrys is bang on if you want a mammy style irish dinner/lunch for 5/6/7 euro

Cafe Bliss has lunch specials as well as its early bird 3 course 10 euro special - but have not had lunch there - dinner is good though

Cafe Sofia has a good range of stuff - all day breakfasts are excellent quality and value, but you can get lasagne and chips, bacon and cabbage, chicken curry, wraps and salads too - all very reasonable price wise

Neon the new noodle place is ok - expensive for what it is I thought

Old Town Noodle Cafe a few doors down from whelans is every bit as good as neon i reckon but a lot cheaper and not as fancy inside
