Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi guys, I was on the TUI website and looking at salary scales. It shows one for assistant lecturer and one for college teacher. What is the difference between the two?

Assistant lecturer would be the norm for entry level grade for a Lecturer position. You'd perform full lecturer duties.

A college teacher is below this level and would assist a Lecturer, taking tutorials.

An assistant lecturer is the entry grade.

A college teacher is a historical grade mainly used by apprentice teachers.

A tutor / demonstrator is a researcher who delivers tutorials and practicals under the supervision of a lecturer.
