UFL(energy) value of concentrates

was reading John donworth in the farming independent a couple of weeks back and he mentioned that the concentrates/nuts you buy in should have a UFL(energy) value of 0.94/0.95......

the milling companies dont give out this information...

has anyone tried calculating the UFL value of their concentrates?

does anyone know how much of each 'ingrredient' is in a tonne of concentrate??

It's a method of comparing the energy value of different feed ingredients when compared to dry Barley, which is 1.00.

Energy is measured in units called UFL where one UFL is equivalent to one kg of air dry barley.

look its been a bone of cone of contention for years that compounders/merchants dont (and arent required to) print the energy value on the ration, its a bit of a silly situation, TBH i aint a fan of this system of energy evualation but nevertheless any would be useful, as it stands the ingreedents are given in decending order so you can make some estimation
