Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi.

So, it turns out you should get your phone insured. I discovered this when my four-day-old iPhone 4S was snatched from my hand. I did all the important stuff of cancelling it, reporting it to the Gardaí, etc., but the upshot is still that I'm locked into a twelve-month contract with O2 for a phone I don't have. To top it off, my old phone broke down a couple of days after.

So I'm buying a new phone, and this time I'm going to get it insured. From browsing the web, the best offer seems to be coming from http://www.gadgetinsurance.ie/.I'm thinking of going for the middle-level policy and covering my iPad and camera as well.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they any use? Are there any major traps I should watch out for? Can anyone recommend another company or policy?

Edit: I've just noticed that the policy doesn't cover theft
"From any public place or place to which the public has access at the time of the incident."

    What's the bloody point, then?

They are part of Blue Insurance who are regulated by the Central Bank.

Have my cover with them, i think (and hopefully I'm not wrong!) that when they say its not covered in a public place means if it is left unattended (so getting snatched from your hand would be covered?

    Worth emailing / calling them?
