Fitted wanders stove - can I wallpaper around it

Hello all We had a stove fitted 7 days ago and put a fire going tonight. The wall above stove was v v hot. Is it safe to paper chimney breast given the heat. The stove is surrounded by a 4 inch granite surround and floating hearth. Your advice and experience would be appreciated.

i asked a salesman recently about placing a TV above a stove install (even with a mantle piece),and the answer was a pretty positive NO. any other opinions on this welcome
