Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all, Im just Putting the Question out there about the Farm Apprentice Scheme...Do any of yeah currently have Apprentices? & how would i go about Getting signed up for it?... I Know years ago Farmers used get them for Nine Month's. But it Seems to be All three Month ones i hear of Lately. Also Do they Work Weekends?, Like one Weekend on & one Weekend Off etc............

    did the FAB myself,from what i'm hearing there will be a new course starting possibly next sept, you can talk to teagasc about registering as for working weekends, when we did it you worked for 12 days and two off , that will be up to you and student both parties must be flexible to a degree hope this helps :rolleyes:

    Thanks For Info Farmyboy:)... Did you spend Three Months on each Farm or Nine? Also What was the Pay?.. Iv Heard its Harder for Dairy Farmers to Get Students aswell.

    Spent nine months on farm after ag college then went into FAB and that was another two full years on two farms wages vary now compared to what i got then . Ya dairy students are hard got tried for three monther couldn't get one maybe too much work :D

    Or Else the Students are gone Soft!:D.. Were not Big Operators or Anything, so they woudnt be overworked. Its just it would be nice to have a bit of Relief,Especially with the Folks getting older & everything. & im getting older too!;)
