Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to Create an Alarm tone for iPhone 4S

Yes before you jump ahead. I have tried all the traditional ways from previous successfull attempts to create an Alarm tone.

Making sure its less than 30 seconds
    Creating ACC
    Deleting yet keeping file
    Renaming M4r
    Double Clicking

It is getting added to iTunes in the "Tones" Section and Tones is selected for Syncing and it DOES appear on my phone as a Ringtone but cannot be selected for Alarm or for Ringtone.

    Hence me = stumped.

Please help as I believe this could be another way of Apple blocking people circumventing their sale of ringtones.

    Any suggestions?

Just created one there and could select it on my 4S no problem.

In iTunes, selected song I wanted to use and right click and then clicked on Get Info. Selected the Options tab and left the Start Time as 0:00 and in the Stop Time box I put 0:30. Clicked on OK to confirm.

Again I right clicked on the song and then clicked on Create AAC Version. Went to the folder which held files and changed extension of new 30 second file from .m4a to .m4r. Double clicked on it to play it. Back to iTunes library and I deleted 30 second song that m4a was associated with. Went to Ringtones library and m4r file was there.

Connected phone to laptop and clicked Sync. I have iTunes setup to sync all ringtones anyway. Once sync was finished I went onto phone and in Settings>Sounds>Ringtone the new 30 second "Thunderstruck" ringtone made from a song was there and could be selected.
