    Is it possible just to pay for lines rental ( no calls / no broadband ), just need a land line for sky multiroom,

    Short answer: Yes

    Long answer: It may be simpler and cheaper for you to get separate full Sky subscriptions than to get Sky Multiroom. How many Sky boxes are you looking for on your Multiroom subscription? What package is being subscribed to? If it was two boxes for example, and the Entertainment Extra package, you'd end up paying €33 (basic subscription) + €15 (multiroom cost) + €25.89 (phoneline rental) = €73.89 per month.

    In those circumstances it'd be more beneficial to you to just get two full Sky subscriptions at €33 per month each (ie. €66 per month). The costs of it all depend on what packages you want and how many boxes you require, but it doesn't necessarily automatically follow that Multiroom is cheaper based on you then needing to install a phoneline.

    Who does line rental? Is it Eircom?

    I hear you with the thoughts of getting the 2 packages, thats sounds like the more sensible option. It would be for 2 boxes.

    Do you really need a phone line for the multiroom? Is there not a charge they give you because you dont have one? Shame to pay €25 a month just for a phone line

    Hi Shellyb73,

    Yes, you can indeed choose to have a phoneline only option, with out calls or broadband. In many cases it is often worthwhile to bundle a package on your phoneline along with calls or broadband. They often include extras like eircom SportsHub, WiFiHub, MusicHub.
