It's May so hard to say. But initial thoughts are 9-8 would be a good result. The out of division schedule with NFC South and AFC West is tough.

Gonna take me time to get used to that 17th game! I'd expect somewhere between 8-10 wins could be our ceiling. A lot has to go right, particularly on offense. Jones needs to sync up with his new weapons, hopefully Saquon can return to form, and the O-line holds up

management must have confidence in the o-line. heads will roll if they don't improve massively though.

PFF has an interesting starting 11 on both sides of the ball for the Giants.

Certainly looks a lot more competitive than the last few seasons.

There seems to be a cloud of negativity over the Giants the last few weeks but I'm still fairly optimistic we can compete in this division. the Cowboys are always the media darling and the Football Team are getting some pop but I don't think either are better than the Giants can be.

Definitely need the O-Line to hold up though.

Not a good start to the season for Andrew Thomas

    Looked terrible last night

Jones was ok bar that INT

    Can't afford them

Hopefully the injuries to Slayton and Engram aren't too serious

Didnt watch any of last nights game but by all accounts the OL was very worrying. If Jones is to have any chance at taking a step forward the OL needs to be able to protect him

I watched some of it and the OL didn't look very good.

Oh great, still making QB’s look like HOF’s

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Yup

    Terrible game

    No defence

    Offence Terrible

Daniel Jones still turning fumbling and should have of had a few picks

    Long Long season ahead

    The most unforgiveable

Our head coach losing a TO on a challenge on a scoring play

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,889 ✭✭✭boccy23

    Christ, that was depressing.

The real surprise was the ineffectiveness of the Defense. Couldn't stop the dinking and dunking of Teddy all day. Got very tired at the end for the big run which you can appreciate.

The more you look at Jones the clearer (to me at least) is that he doesnt have "it". He is a solid QB, no more no less.

I think in a few years he could be another Josh Rosen. Maybe not as sudden a downhill slide but is there many other teams where he would be the starter?

Maybe i should have used another word instead of slide, becauase as we know DJ isnt a fan of sliding !!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Yup

I just don't see him making it

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Defence getting mashed again

Thought meant to be our strength going into the year

Making Heineke look like a HOF

    Down 14-10 at HT

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

3 pts to start the second half

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    TD Slayton

Few poor plays from Golladay on the drive with drops

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    20-17 now

At least we held that drive to 3

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Great FG Gano

Big throw from Jones under pressure

Now would be a good time to get a stop

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Christ make somebody other than 17 beat us please

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    OK only conceded 3

    Up 23-20

    Slayton can't drop that

    need to help Jones out

    Some kick Gano

    Up 26-20

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

FFS we concede a TD in 2 plays

    Laughable

    Down 27-26

    4:33 to play

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Huge INT Bradberry

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Only get 3 after the INT

    Terrible offence

2 bad runs and incomplete pass

Up 29-27 but left Washington 2 mins left and a TO

4 down territory all day too

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

FFS of course we lose to a FG

    Season over at 0-2

Bad teams find ways to lose games like these

We even gave them a second chance at a missed FG with a penalty

    Pathetic

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,981 ✭✭✭wawaman

    I mean um........ahhh.....

Great "attention to detail" shown in that game

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,981 ✭✭✭wawaman

Like how do you lose that game?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,030 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Only the Giants could

Going to be a tough year

Our defence is a shambles and plays so soft

Things like the Slayton drop are brutal soul destroying plays

Wasted a good Daniel Jones performance

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,981 ✭✭✭wawaman

The Giants could go 17-0 because it seems they will beat themselves every week.

Stupid penalty on the long Jones run into the endzone, the Slayton drop, the last play. Every week its something new. In a way its impressive that they always come up with something new.

But man oh man am i sick of losing to final second field goals.

All not well on the sideline either with Golladay and DJ arguing and reports of Judge and Toney having words.

As said above, looks like another long season ahead for us. Could easily see us slipping to a 4-13, 5-12 type record. I'm getting bad vibes around the team
