Different Thompson. It is Mykkele Thompson who is out for a couple of weeks.

Somehow missed that it was Mykkel Thompson injured, not Darian! Harsh, but if you had to pick one to be injured, it would be Mykkel. Thankfully it doesn't look serious.

Feel like saying "Oh good" is somehow cruel to the guy but oh good.

Andrew Adams might get promoted to the 53 for a week or two so. Hopefully it is just a minor sprain. Anything like a high ankle sprain and I'll be gutted!

Jennings is out today. It'll be interesting to see Vereen operating as the lead back for the first time.

Crap, any word how long he will be out?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,163 ✭✭✭Beefy78

I doubt it'll be too long. He was due to play today.

He's not on his own out there today as far as cheap penalties go.

True, Vernons hit on cousins could cost us the game

    Typical Giants

Fcuk up when we could have burried Washington

We kicked ourselves in the nuts today. Indiscipline handed the game to Washington but as painful as it was to watch I think we're a better team than last year.

Game was there for the taking on more than 1 occasion. 3-0 would have been a nice cushion with the next 2 games against the vikings and packers

Can really see us being 2-3 now to start the year. That was a very bad loss. Despite all the penalties we still should have won. Bad Eli was out in force. He really should have had 3 Int's in the last 3 drives. Just awful, dumb typical Eli ****.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,163 ✭✭✭Beefy78

Eli didn't play well but it is the penalties and defense that cost that game. Adams's was stupid but he's a kid playing his first game. Vernon's hit on Cousins was boneheaded.

We made Washington punt the ball twice. We fell asleep on the fake. There's plenty of blame to go around.

Of course there is but 1 minute 55 to play, 2 time outs & all you need is a field goal, your franchise (allegged HOF) QB needs to deliver. We have arguably one of the top 5 WR trios in football & yet our fearless leader manages to screw it up. His picks in that 4th quarter were awful (as well as the one he should have had on the underthrow to Vereen).

The first one is on Tye. The second was bad. Either way it shouldn't have been down to Eli to get us out of that mess.

The whole OBJ/Norman nonsense really was a distraction. OBJ's head was not in the game at all, the hitting the kicking net was childish

Ah he is an emotional guy, he made some great plays in and around that time as well so don't think it was a big thing. 7 catches for 121 is good going against Norman.

True but i meant more so for the team as a whole, like weston richburg got ejected for a hit on norman

Sorry, that was an odd one though. I though the hit during the play was OK. Norman was chasing and Richburg shouldered him out of the chase. Did something happen after the play?

that hit was his 2nd "unsportsman like conduct" penalty. Still pi$$ed off about that loss. Instead of been 3-0, we are now back in a dogfight with 2 tough games to come

Massive blow, real asset in the passing game. With Jennings also banged up our RB depth has taken has big hit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,163 ✭✭✭Beefy78

They might be able to bring him back later in the season apparently.
