Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iTunes spends an age 'processing file' when downloading updated app

I'm on the latest version of iTunes which is 10.6.0.40, I have an iPod Touch G4. Lately I've noticed that when I download an updated app, iTunes spends an age at the end of the download in the status 'processing file' which I didn't notice until a couple of weeks ago, anybody know what this is all about?

I've just downloaded an update to Angry Birds, it's V2.1.0, a 12.6 MB file, it'sbeen downloaded and stuck in status 'processing file' for an age, the download progress bar is at 100% and it's 'processing' away for several minutes now. I wonder is it a more aggressive virus scan than before or any thoughts? It's happened with several other app updates over the past couple of weeks.

There is a 'downloads' folder in the iTunes Music folder but it's empty.

I created the library in a folder called C:\iTouch because I have a different library for an iPod Nano, most of the music is on an external drive.

In the iTouch folder there is a folder called 'iTunes Music', there is also a folder called 'Mobile Applications' where all of the apps are stored. There is a 'downloads' folder in the 'iTunes Music' folder, it was created on March 15th 2012 i.e. last week but it's empty. Looks like it was created at the same time as the last upgrade to iTunes.
