Can I ask why more isn't being made of Biggar's match winning conversion? If I were a Leinster fan I'd be a bit peeved about it - the ball landing on top of the post meant it neither went "over the bar" nor "between the posts" so I don't see how it could be given, does anyone know exactly what is stated in the rulebook regarding successful kicks?

We were raging in the ground about it alright, to me it looked like it bounced on it and went left and wide not over the goal. Losing two tightheads and bad defense in the tries was the losing of the match for us

A Leinster win would have been the better result for Munster last night.

The only worse result from a Munster perspective would've been if Leinster ad Osprey's had gotten try bonus points too

It would be great if you could post back with their take on it. My understanding was similar to yours - as long as you have enough front row qualified players then scrums are contested. That said, I can understand where the ref is coming from.
Just asked for you. Leinster were offered a choice. They opted for their looshead to play tight instead of uncontested.

I was puzzled by the call on the conversion too. But IIRC there was a debate about it in the Wales v SA match when Hook's kick went over the sticks. According to the letter of the law it counts if it passes directly over the upright. I stand to be corrected on that though.

Also I felt the last scrum of the game was ours. They totally wheeled it about infront of Fitzgibbon, the ball got lost and our front row didn't move and were on their feet - the penalty should've been ours and was well kickable for Ferg.

It's a funny one really, we were shocking yet were well in the grasp of winning the game. Not a bad complaint. So much so that I'm not actually that disappointed we lost. It's not like we had a great group of talent that was badly coached to the point it was infuriating like some team that plays in green I know... :D

Nah, just a bad day at the office, plenty of rust going on. It'll be interesting to see if Munster have the same issues tonight - we'll defo need to iron out those issues next week.
