Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fashionable but useful sunglasses.

My boyf is buying me sunglasses for my birthday. I'd love Ray Bans but his budget doesn't stretch to that. Basically, I want useful sunglasses that actually protect the eyes from strong sunshine as I'm going on my first sun holiday this year, but still look good.

Has anyone got any recommendations? Thanks!

My recommenadation would be to buy sunglasses with polarised lenses. The Polaroid brand is relatively cheap (I think about €40 a pair) but meets that criteria.

Polarised, that's the phrase I was looking for, thanks Dudara!

I've had a look at the Polaroid sunglasses website, lots of nice ones, and very reasonable prices too. Does anyone know where in Dublin city centre would stock them?

I got two pairs of very nice sunglasses (one polarized) in TK Maxx for half nothing (€20 each if I remember rightly?). It's a bit of a lottery what they'll have but if you have half an hour to plough through all the rubbish, you'll definitely find something!

I had a pair of the Polaroid ones that I loved before I left them on the Inca trail :(
Most Specsavers stock them and I've seen them in pharmacies too.

A lot of pharmacies carry them - you shouldn't find it too hard to pick them up.

If you're ever in the states, then a lot of the high-end discount outlets will sell RayBan sunglasses at discounted prices. The same goes for TK Maxx. Keep an eye out for a pair where the letter "P" follows the RayBan lettering on the lens.

Thanks, is there anything I need to look out for with Polaroid or are all their sunglasses polarised? :)

I'm not sure - but it's easy to check if sunglasses are polarised. Read here for more information.
