Myself and the Ms. are heading to Copenhagen for 3 days at start of May.

Has anyone who has been there any must see/do recommendations?

I've heard the Little Mermaid is a waste of time, but Tivoli Gardens can be good fun, if a little expensive.

I have a list of restaurant/food places we're going to pretty much sorted with that - so would be interested to hear any other general sightseeing suggestions. (though still feel free to suggest food places if you know any )

When I was there a few years ago now, there was a great leaflet in the tourism office with a map with a route to see all the main sights on foot in half a day walking. I cannot find it online though.

I loved this area of the city http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/See-and-do/Self-guided-Walk-to-Christianshavn-and-Christiania/382 I didn't go through a tour but it is something I would definitely look at doing.

Also we climbed to the top of the dome http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/See-and-do/The-Marble-Church/382 It was an amazing view!
