Where should I put my money

I am a college student with around 4k in the bank, it is for savings and at the moment is just sitting in my current account. Where should I put it, I know I can't expect to earn much on interest but I would like to earn something, I was thinking Rabodirect, the Credit Union or more off the wall Prize Bonds. I need to be…

I need to be able to get at this money in case of emergencies and for fees so I can't do long term.

Any suggestions?

i'd go with either kbc or aib on line. you can get instant access to their deposit ac. kbc pays 3.25% before dirt aib is a little less. you'll get a better rate elsewhere but you've to fix a term
