Does the doctor acting for the injuries board take in to account that on the day of the assessment the person will be taking there mediction which will mask alot of the pain??

Well yeah, if painkillers are required, then clearly the injury is one causing continuing pain, the fact that the painkillers are reducing the pain won't adversely affect a claim, the pain still exists even if painkillers help manage it.

I'm sure they will, but current medication needs to be mentioned to the doctor.

Has anyone come across this when they had the assessment done for the injuries board?

    Hey Author,

I'd say this is something they deal with every day of the week. Haven't personally come across it, in with injuries board doctor the end of this month. You can tell them what pain meds you are on, on the day also naturally. What pain meds & how much will tell them a lot about the level of pain you're in.....

    Hope this helps

Just bring the list of medication with you. Make sure you bring the details of the strenght of the tablets and the amount you take daily.

They will take this into account at the assessment.
