I wouldn't keep pursuing, you made the move, she couldn't match your maturity by giving you a straight answer and turned it into a home-and-away-esque scene.

Move on and don't let her occupy your thoughts any longer.

    It's not me, it's you?

    ****, that's harsh.

Least you tried, OP. Try not to let that scathing retort bother you.

What does that even mean? Real bs talk.

At least you were straight with her in the end OP. Job well done, you can do no more on your end

Give her space..... If she values your friendship she will explain what she meant by it.

If not, Go **** her Mum and Sister (If she has one)..... at the same time.

Tis a more offensive version of the standard it's not you, it's me.

Basically, she thinks the OP is hideous, or strange in some way, so much so, that the thought of them being together repulses her so much, it drives her to tears.

You should have ran after her, given her the old shoulder to cry on then said "it's okay.. you were right, it is you"

popped the shades on (its sunny out there today) and strolled off ...

if you had a theme tune it should then kick in

i think to be fair 'it's not me,it's you was a typo on behalf of OP , as further down he repeats this only the other way around, even tho' I am a woman, it sounds to me like she is a total drama queen and you're better off not going there , unless she really has a deeply troubling issue (maybe she's pregnant and alone ) in which case OP this is just the beginning, maybe, if you're the knight in shining armour type.:)
That was in any case a horrible thing to do to you, running off like that...

Put your penis in her hand as you guys are walking down the street.

"Getting out of her friend zone" is a new expression to me, especially since it seems that what you actually want is to get into her knickers. Good luck with that, and remember that there's no reason you couldn't still be friends afterwards as well.:):):)

I'm sorry to say it, but I think she might just not have feelings for me.

But well done for telling her. I think now it might be best to try to move on and put this behind you, even at the cost of your friendship.

'For me'? You're not in this story, Moo.

    God, get over yourself!

Edit: sorry to hear about how things went, OP. But don't you feel slightly liberated after telling her how you feel?

Time to move on OP. Sorry that you befriended a bitch.

I'm trying to get my hands on her, and I'm pretending there's nothing between us!

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what happened?

Why the hell did she go away crying! Anyway everyone's advise seems sound enough, she seems like she could cause some drama!

O.P. People quickly see the intention in other peoples eyes .5 years in the Friend Zone ?

I think OP is making this all up:) "it's not me it's you"?! Surely no one is that heartless!

  • Registered Users Posts: 814 ✭✭✭Tesco Massacre

The OP's profile says he's 17. So he's been pining after this girl since he was 12.

This is going to be one of these weird, life-long unrequited crushes, isn't it?

.. friend zone. Where the concept of you being sexy is 'ewww...'

This is a typo, right?? Otherwise, you're well shot of it.

Well that was some anti-climax! :( I honestly thought it was going to be a happy ending, considering she asked him to lunch. Although lunch is an ovbious friend-zone! Hard luck OP, but fair play on putting yourself out there. I'm sure you'll find a girl that makes you just as happy in the near future :)

OP I just read through this thread.

Pick yourself up, brush yourself off, move on. Now you should have a healthy dose of cynicism toward the world and a certain contempt for everything in it. That's healthier than the idealistic fairy land you were in obsessing over one girl. Never obsess over a girl unless you've banged her at least 20 times.
