Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I don't think he necessarily said he believed in them, or that there were real psychics. Just that there had been cases where the gardai had used psychics during a case and made a breakthrough on the word of the psychic. Whether or not these cases actually happened however remains to be seen.

    No, I don't feel I need to. Every one I've seen so far uses the same techniques and they are all confidence tricksters.

    If you're genuinely interested there's two decent books on the subject,

    The Full Facts Book of Cold Reading by Ian Rowland.
    Tradecraft by TRICKSHOP.COM

    Both short reads, and word on the street is they're available for free if you know where to look.

    If you're not interested but making a point then this and this should suffice.


    Although it's not up to anyone to demonstrate why psychics are full of crap, it's up to them to demonstrate that they're not.

    You don't have to test every psychic in the world to know they're all charlatans. All you have to do is point out that there are several people offering millions of dollars to anyone who can prove their psychic abilities and this money has gone unclaimed for decades
