Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Marriage contract from abroad, and local debt liabilities?

I was wondering if anyone knew what the Irish law was pertaining to marriage. If we have a prenup in place, for example, because we married abroad and explicitly stated that we are separate legal entities.... is that recognised here in Ireland afterwards?
If a husband defaulted on a loan, for instance, would the bank / law recognise that the wife is not actually liable according to their prenup contract or does the law of the Irish courts override the contract beween parties. This is not in the case of divorce, but rather just when risk of financial default is looming, and the couple remain married.
Appreciate any legal opinion on this, thanks
