    Hi all,

    I'm thinking of taking a city break in Cork this summer on my own.

    I was wondering is there any good hostels in the area that would be recommended for solo travellers?

    Shielas Hostel just off Summerhill North, about 5 mins. from the city centre, and well run.

    The Bru Hostel on MacCurtain street is very popular. Good bar downstairs too.
