Multimedia hard drive

Hi guys im looking to buy a hard drive but i dont know much about them! well im pretty clueless actually! would one with 1.5 Tb have good enough memory? im just looking for one to back up all my photos from my laptop and have some movies and stuff so i could watch them on my tv.. thanks

Looks great thanks, i didnt know of that website was just looking on pixmania and the prices/deals seem to be always changing.. or maybe its just me!:)
this is a stupid question but i will be able to hook it up to my tv and watch stuff easily enough from it ya and put all my photos on it. im all new to this!:o

im not sure that will work, as those storage hdd's are not equipped with codec to play on tv or through dvd with usb connection...
