I'm looking for an Easter Egg for my friends daughter but she has severe peanut and egg allergies. Does anyone know of anywhere that stocks specialist eggs/chocolates in Dublin?

Bit of a long shot I know but the poor little thing is only gone 3 and I'm sure she will still get unsuitable eggs from well-meaning relatives or friends that she won't be allowed eat :(

Any help or pointers would be great, thanks!

I know Kinnerton do 'nut free' and possibly 'egg-free' ranges but I don't know off-hand where you'd find them. Usually see their chocolate advent calendars at Christmas.

You're brilliant, thank you! This is a good place to start. Unfortunately her allergies were only discovered in the past 8 or 9 months so this is all new.

    Thanks again :)

I have seen Kinnerton Easter eggs in town (dublin) but they're only 'nut free' -- they're not the 'egg free' ones so you might even email them and ask where in Ireland stocks them?

edit -- I fired them off an email there asking, so we'll see if they get back to me.

:D thanks, I also sent them off an email to ask! Tesco are stocking some small Kinnerton eggs (little girls mammy has bought her a little Hello Kitty Kinnerton egg) - just in case anyone else is looking for them too. They do seem to have nut & egg free on the adult Easter Egg on their site so hopefully that is true of all of them.

There are plenty of Kinnerton Easter eggs in Dunnes (Newbridge) so I guess all Dunnes will stock them. There are two sections with Easter eggs in Newbridge Dunnes so make sure you check both. Great selection for boys and girls.
With regards to egg allergy, my daughter is allergic to both nuts and eggs (and other things) and she is fine with Kinnerton. It does not say Egg Freeon but there are no egg ingredients in their Easter eggs or chocolate.

Real Reido, welcome to Boards. As a general rule we don't reply to threads that are more than 6 months old. This one is a year old.
