Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know if this is the right forum for this question. Mods, please feel free to move if required. Thanks.

    I was just wondering ...
... does both Ahern and O'Flynn resigning mean that they still get their pension whereas, if they were expelled, they wouldn't ?

    Thanks - Valerie

PS - The purpose of this post is not to engage in political debate. :)

Resigning from a political party has no effect on pensions due as a result of public service on office as a TD or other public official.

There was a very ill conceived press release about this and a Constitutional Referendum in recent days. No doubt Minister Shatter will clear this up in the coming days ... Well, he did before re. Green Party statements in same a few years back!
