    Dear Instructor,

it gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your students to our upcoming Junior kickboxing tournament in the Oranmore Community Centre, Oranmore, Co. Galway on Sunday 6th May, 2012.
We will have a brand new full size 18 feet platform ring (16 feet inside the ropes) as well as two large matted areas on the go so the event should run very smoothly and we have some really nice medals for all the fighters.
The event is being fully sanctioned by the IKF (International Kickboxing Federation) and will be run under light contact rules for children aged between six years and seventeen years old and all fighters will be matched off according to weight, height, age & experience so all fights will be as evenly matched as possible.
There is a large free car park for cars and buses and good size changing rooms for the fighters complete with showers etc and there will be sandwiches, tea, coffee, bottled water and soft drinks as well as a limited amount of Martial Arts equipment for sale such as gloves, groin guards, hand wraps, kick boots, shin & instep pads etc.
We will also have a public address system in place to help ensure that all fighters can hear when they are being called.
We would really appreciate if you and as many of your students as possible could support this event as any profits made will go towards sending a team of Full Contact fighters from the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club to the IKF World Classic Championships in Florida this coming July.
So far, we have been pledeged a good deal of support from several clubs so we genuinely expect all fighters will be matched off.
The fights will be over two rounds of one and a half minutes each round and as previously said, each fighter will recieve a nice medal.
Registration will start at 10.30am sharp and we hope to kick off at 12 noon - if all goes to plan, we aim to finish by 3pm at the latest.
Entry fees for the fighters is €10 and €6 for spectators and if at all possible, please reply to this email with an approximate number of fighters you will be bringing.
Please pass this email on to any of your contact clubs/instructors that you feel may be interested in supporting the tournament and remember, it can only be good for the kids.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to welcoming you and your future young superstars into the West on Sunday May 6th.

    Best regards,

    Pete Foley
